My July 2011 – July 2012, 366 day project. Check out my new blog now at www.robcartwrightphotoblog.wordpress.com
This shot will sell. Great composition.
Thank you Todd, very kind!
Thank you Denise – it’s a truly stunning art deco building!
I love the contrast in shape and contour- the difference between the round, geometric structure of the building and the organic form of the clouds.
Thanks Grace! Glad you like it, it’s a perfect subject for a mono conversion. Good luck with your blog – B&W rules!!
The bird. Almost miss it. The two things that are in motion: the bird, and clouds. I can not tell which direction the clouds are moving. The way in which the photo is posted, the clouds first take your breath away. The building has a Gotham City feel to me.
In awe of your capture. Merci beaucoup!
Thanks for the very complimentary feedback. The clouds were stunning that day, the bird was one of those lucky gifts. The Beresford building is absolutely amazing and certainly has more than a hint of Gotham about it. Many thanks!
Looking forward to more of your world. Happy New Year!
Many thanks, best wishes for 2012.
Beautiful. Did you have to crouch and get as close to the ground to capture this? 🙂
Thanks. I didn’t have to crouch for this one (many others where I have though!) – I was on the other side of the pavement from the entrance and the entrance doors themselves are pretty tall, allowing plenty of space to shoot the building above.
