Twin Peaks & Ocean Beach: Wednesday 21 March (365.360° Day 241)

Heading up the hill to take in the panoramic views from Twin Peaks seemed the ideal way to spend our final morning with the hire car (wouldn’t have fancied walking up one little bit!)

Afterwards we headed out to Ocean Beach for lunch and a wander on the sands in the sun before the inevitable San Francisco fog closed in rendering a trek up to Baker Beach to see views of the Golden Gate utterly pointless – with visibility way under 100m we couldn’t see a thing.

An evening seeing SF Ballet and some cocktails with friends wrapped off a smashing final day in the city by the bay.

Looking out from Twin Peaks to downtown San Francisco.

  1. Ah, I remember Ocean Beach from my 9 years living in the SF Bay Area. The sunsets were breathtaking. I still miss it. Thanks for posting these excellent photos and bringing back some fond memories.
