My July 2011 – July 2012, 366 day project. Check out my new blog now at www.robcartwrightphotoblog.wordpress.com
The river Kelvin flows under Kelvinbridge in Glasgow’s West End.
Amazing work here, did you obtain these results with layering multiple exposures?
Thanks! This is a single 30 second exposure, I added some bursts of flash from my SB-900 in the foreground to balance the brighter sky and lights from the subway station against the darker riverbank in the scene.
I need to start working with a flash more my self. I mostly work with natural light.
It’s often said photography is all about light. With that in mind using the additional light a flash can provide is a great extra element to bring to your photography. Check out the Strobist blog – amazing examples of what can be achieved with flash!
